ServSafe® Home Study is ideal for new people who are getting food safety training for the first time or for experienced staff needing certification or recertification. The course work is condensed, comprehensive and filler free. It was designed to quickly teach the fundamentals of food safety and prepare you for the online exam. I use the same material when teaching the traditional 16 hour class.
*Sanitation, the dangers of food borne illness, the keys to food safety, personal hygiene, and how every employee can be a safe food handler.
*The Flow of Food through the Operation: Employees will discover how to prevent cross-contamination, how to utilize time and temperature control effectively.
Safe receiving, food storage, prep/serving, cooling and reheating.
*Sanitary Facilities and Pest Management: Employees will cover all aspects of cleaning and sanitation, pest management, and how to keep pests out of the operation.
Course length is 6 hours which includes 4 hours of home study and 2 hours of one on one classroom instruction. On exam day we meet at your place of business for the review class, and you test on premise from any internet enabled computer! Print testing is also available.
The ServSafe® Food Protection Manager online exam is provided via www.servsafe.com. This is a secured and proctored exam, accredited by the American National Standards Institute and Conference for Food Protection.
The ServSafe®Food Protection Manager online exam includes the ServSafe® Certificate upon successful completion of exam (score of 75% or above)
Certificates are mailed within 24-48 business hours and are valid for 5 years.
